Origins and Mission of iGoWise Mobility
Established in 2020 by entrepreneur Sravan K Appana, iGoWise Mobility focuses on engineering durable, smart electric vehicle platforms designed for the unique challenges of India’s urban centers and rural landscapes. The startup addresses a critical market gap by offering alternatives to conventional two-wheelers and bulky, high-cost vehicles, prioritizing affordability, safety, and efficiency.
Flagship Product: BeiGo Electric Trike
At the heart of iGo’s portfolio is BeiGo, an innovative electric pickup trike that stands out with its patented anti-topple leaning technology. This feature ensures superior handling, smoother cornering, and enhanced ride comfort, making it ideal for diverse terrains. Backed by over 100,000 kilometers of real-world usage data from customers across various environments, BeiGo demonstrates proven reliability for entrepreneurs and daily commuters alike.
Built on the proprietary TwiiGo lightEV platform, the trike excels in navigating pothole-ridden roads, climbing steep inclines, and maneuvering through congested traffic. It incorporates a triple-disc anti-skid combined braking system (CBS) for optimal safety and grip. According to the company, BeiGo is five times more cost-effective, three times more energy-efficient, and twice as compact compared to similar offerings globally. Riders transitioning to this trike can cut fuel expenses while potentially increasing their monthly earnings by up to Rs 7,500 through improved productivity.
The BeiGo Rugged Utility Vehicle is poised for commercial launch within the next few months, building on the startup’s rapid development timeline since inception.
Expansion Roadmap and Partnerships
Looking ahead, iGoWise Mobility is set to expand its footprint over the next 12-18 months, targeting key markets such as Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, and Panjim. The company aims to deploy an initial fleet of 1,500 trikes in collaboration with partners like Hala Mobility and Elektric Express, focusing on fleet operations to drive adoption.
This growth strategy underscores iGo’s commitment to bridging urban-rural mobility divides, leveraging data-driven insights to refine its offerings and capture a larger share of India’s burgeoning EV sector.
Competitive Landscape in India’s EV Space
iGoWise operates in a dynamic market alongside notable players like Zen Mobility, Vaidyuthi Mobility, and Speedloop Auto, all vying to innovate in electric three-wheelers and last-mile solutions. What sets iGo apart is its emphasis on patented technologies and user-centric designs, positioning it as a frontrunner in delivering dignified, eco-friendly mobility that empowers users economically and environmentally.
